TUCSON, Ariz. — FC Tucson’s home match against Ventura County Fusion on Saturday, June 20, has been selected as the USL League Two Game of the Week, highlighting one of the premier rivalries in the Western Conference.
With 144 clubs competing across USL League Two, the matchup between FC Tucson and Ventura County Fusion was chosen to be featured nationally as both clubs continue to establish themselves as perennial postseason contenders and one of the league’s most prominent rivalries.
The two sides split their meetings in 2025, with Ventura County claiming a victory over FC Tucson in the USL League Two Round of 16. Entering the June 20 contest, FC Tucson sits on nine points through six league matches and will put one of the league’s strongest recent home records on the line. The club has not lost at Kino North Stadium in more than two years, posting a remarkable 12-0-3 record over its last 15 home matches.
Youth Night Celebration
The nationally featured match will also serve as Youth Night presented by Rancho Sahuarita.
Kids ages 12 and under who wear a soccer jersey to the match will receive free admission, while family packs of four or more tickets are available for just $12 per ticket.
In addition, FC Tucson will feature two unique halftime activations.
For the second consecutive year, FC Tucson will host a Plush Toy Toss benefiting Banner – Diamond Children’s Medical Center. Fans who bring a new plush toy to the match will receive 50% off their tickets at the box office and will have the opportunity to toss their toy onto the field at halftime. FC Tucson players and staff will deliver the collected toys to Banner – Diamond Children’s Medical Center following the event. Last year FC Tucson collected and donated over 100 Plush Toys.
FC Tucson will also debut a unique halftime experience inspired by German giants Borussia Dortmund. Kids ages 8–12 (with some flexibility on age) who wear a soccer jersey to the match will have the opportunity to take the field and participate in a special challenge featuring three FC Tucson players against up to 100 kids.
Borussia Dortmund introduced a similar concept in recent years to tremendous fan response, and FC Tucson is excited to bring the experience to Southern Arizona.
Kickoff between FC Tucson and Ventura County Fusion is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Kino North Stadium.
