About the Academy

Our Mission

FC Tucson strives to express the unique and compelling qualities of our community through the game of soccer.  We are committed to the ideals of fair play, service, development and excellence.  We endeavor to serve all forms of soccer in our region; professional, amateur, youth, men and women, girls and boys.  We will seek pathways to grow the game in Southern Arizona.

About FC Tucson's Pro Academy

Launched in October 2020, the FC Tucson Pro Academy Player is a professional training environment dedicated to nurturing players who have a strong enthusiasm for the game and are committed to improvement in a professional environment.

FC Tucson Pro Academy players will compete in the newly developed USL Academy League, a regionalized competition set to begin in 2021 that will provide elite youth talent from across the USL landscape an additional opportunity to compete at a high level. In addition to the USL Academy League, USL will coordinate the USL Academy Cup – a competition designed to bring together top youth prospects from all of our markets with USL clubs, all centered around identifying and developing players with the potential to reach the professional level.

Our experienced, first-team staff will create the primary coaching curriculum and provide first-team training staff members for the FC Tucson Pro Academy Team. Through this system, academy players will have direct exposure to the professional pathway while being provided the best available opportunities.

FC Tucson will continue its commitment to working in cooperation with the entire Southern Arizona youth soccer community through the FC Tucson Pro Academy, by way of the USL Academy. First-team coaches and players will work to provide clinics and tryouts free of charge to underserved and financially challenged players across the Southern Arizona region.

About FC Tucson

FC Tucson was founded in 2010 by a local group of dedicated Tucsonans who wanted to elevate the sport and bring professional soccer to the City of Tucson. Since that time, FC Tucson has been responsible for helping put Tucson on the national stage by hosting the annual MLS pre-season training events as well as developing America's top players who have gone on to become US Men's National Team and MLS members.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of FC Tucson and the Club intends to enter the new decade with a commitment to showcasing and developing top talent and bringing the community together around our team. The club has invested in building a winning team on the pitch and hiring talented front office staff with the goal of enhancing the game day experience while forming a patchwork of community initiatives that are uniquely Tucson.
