
TUCSON, Ariz – Jacob Crull, Daniel Bedoya and Luca Mastrantonio all converted goals to give FC Tucson its second victory of preseason, 3-1 over the University of Washington on Tuesday at Kino North Complex.
Washington is the 2021 NCAA Division I runner-up and is a three-time Pac-12 champion.
FC Tucson played a majority of its starters for the full 90 minutes, with trialists and other players coming off the bench.
Jacob Crull grabbed the opening goal within the first 20 minutes. Daniel Bedoya took the corner and Gio Calixtro flicked it on with a diving header for Crull to chip past the Washington goalkeeper.

FC Tucson added another goal in the second half when Daniel Bedoya scored on a breakaway.
Washington pulled one back only a minute later to put the game at 2-1.
FC Tucson grabbed its third in the match shortly after Washington converted. Louis Perez, making his first appearance for FC Tucson, passed his corner kick to Bedoya, who was outside the top of the box. He swung the ball into the middle where Luca Mastrantonio was waiting. He headed it in to give Tucson a 3-1 lead.
FC Tucson will close out the preseason on Sunday, March 27, at noon when they face off against NCAA Division II National Champion Pima Community College. The regular season kicks off in Virginia against the Richmond Kickers on Saturday, April 2.
