6-9-23 recap
A curling belter of a shot by defender Antonio Lopez in the 85th minute gave FC Tucson its second straight USL League Two win and kept the Men in Black undefeated at home this season with a 2-1 victory over the Southern California Seahorses on Friday night.
Lopez, playing just his second game for FC Tucson, lashed a beautiful shot from outside the box that whistled past the glove of Seahorses goalkeeper Michael Diaz and punched the net.
Southern California’s Armando Ibarra gave his team the lead with an excellent free kick that found the corner of the goal in the 27th minute.
The Men in Black tied it up just as the clock hit 45:00 when Gyorgy Kamaras beat the keeper with another sizzling shot.
FC Tucson will now head to California to take on Capo FC on Friday, June 16th, before returning home on June 24th against Ventura County Fusion for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
