
FC Tucson wrapped up its final road trip of the regular season with a 4-0 loss to Greenville Triumph at Legacy Early College.

In the 13th minute, Greenville forward Carlos Gomez scored the opening goal to give the home side an early 1-0 lead. Minutes later, Greenville attempted to break Tucson’s backline again with a strike from Cameron Saul. Defender Lamar Batista blocked the shot but Gomez corralled the rebound and found the back of the net for his second goal of the night.
In the 30th minute, midfielder Karsten Hanlin received a yellow card for hard foul inside of the box, resulting in a penalty kick for Greenville. Aaron Walker converted from the spot to give the home side a 3-0 lead as they entered the half.
The Triumph ended the evening’s scoring with a goal in the 89th minute, Gomez’s third tally of the evening.
FC Tucson will return home on Saturday, September 21st when the club plays host to the Richmond Kickers. In their last meeting, the two sides played to a 0-0 draw at Kino North Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm and the match will be streamed live via ESPN+.
