
TUCSON (March 29, 2019) — Today FC Tucson announced it has acquired goalkeeper Phillip Ejimadu from Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC). LAFC maintains the right to recall Ejimadu at any point.
Ejimadu, 19, signed with LAFC on February 21st after a successful trial with the club. He spent his previous five years with Brazil’s Nacional Atletico Clube youth teams.
A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ejimadu earned his first international call-up during the U-20 U.S. men’s national team training camp in March 2018.
In addition, the club has announced it has mutually parted ways with midfielder Moshe Perez.
Ejimadu is expected to be available for selection tomorrow as FC Tucson opens its first-ever professional season against Orlando City B at 4:30 p.m. The game will air on ESPN+.
