
TUCSON (March 29, 2019) — FC Tucson announced today it had signed forward Eti Tavares for the 2019 USL League One season pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, the details of the contract will not be released.
“We have an amazing group of guys here. I can’t wait to get on the pitch and do something special this season,”
Tavares most recently played for the USL Championship side Tulsa Roughnecks. In 28 appearances, he tallied three goals and two assists.
Prior to his stint in Tulsa, Tavares played two seasons with USL Championship side Real Monarchs, logging 46 appearances and three goals over that span.
Born in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, Tavares spent two years with Real Salt Lake AZ located in Phoenix, AZ.
With the addition of Tavares, FC Tucson’s roster now stands at 20 players for the 2019 USL League One season.
