
TUCSON (February 19, 2019) — FC Tucson announced today it had signed defender Luke Hauswirth for the 2019 USL League One season. Per club policy, the details of the contract will not be released.
“Being a part of FC Tucson’s first professional season is very special for me because it is also my first year as a pro. I see this as a great opportunity with a quality group of players and staff that will have a successful first season.”
Hauswirth was a standout midfielder/defender at the University of Washington from 2013-2018. A four-year starter, he registered three goals, three assists and nine points in 6,471 minutes of play.
Hauswirth made 74 career starts for the Huskies during his collegiate career. He spent his youth career playing for the Minnesota Thunder Academy of the U.S. Development Academy.
With the addition of Hauswirth, FC Tucson’s roster now stands at 15 players for the 2019 USL League One season.
