
TUCSON (April 1, 2019) — Today FC Tucson announced it has added 20-year-old midfielder Devin Vega from its USL Championship parent club Phoenix Rising pending league and federation approval.
Vega, 20, has made one appearance for Phoenix Rising this season. In 2018, Vega played 680 minutes in 12 appearances for Rising notching two goals and an assist.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Vega was a member of the FC Dallas Academy and has international experience playing with the U-17 & U-19 U.S. National Team.
In addition, the club has announced it has mutually parted ways with defender Gilbert Oord.
Vega is expected to be available for selection Wednesday night as FC Tucson visits South Georgia Tormenta FC at 5 p.m. The game will air on ESPN+.
